Parallel

A sustainable collection aimed towards Faustine Steinmetz's beliefs in cutting back on water pollution caused by harmful chemical dyes typically used in denim. Three techniques are used in this collection to display a sustainable 'parallel' to an otherwise un-sustainable trend in fashion manufacturing. Firstly by use repurposing paper pleated blinds. Secondly, digitally printing the texture of fur achieves the illusion of fur without the need of farming animals, while also allowing further use of construction. Lastly, using natural dyeing techniques such as turmeric or smashed flowers.
